John Reed – Pickleball Director, PPR certified pro

John has been teaching tennis for over 20 years.  He is 4.5 pickleball player and has been teaching pickleball for 5 years. John has taught at numerous clubs throughout Wisconsin, Illinois, and California. John has also been the Tennis/Pickleball Director at Abbey Springs Country Club since 2006. Colin Chapman – Head Pickleball Pro

Colin is a recent graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where he played pickleball and tennis. In his high school tennis career, Colin was able to compete in the WIAA state team tournament as well as be seeded individually in the D1 state doubles tournament. Colin has been teaching tennis for over 5 years and started teaching pickleball in 2023. He is a 5.0+ pickleball player and reached as high as 25 in the nation on the DUPR Collegiate tour. Colin also currently competes in both APP and PPA tour pro qualifying events. Colin specializes in using AI software to analyze technique and tactics.

Max Fusselman – Pickleball Staff Pro

Max has been playing pickleball for over 8 years and teaching the past 4 years. He is climbing the national ranks quickly medaling in 5.0+ tournaments across the country. Max brings a unique perspective competing in pickleball before becoming a 4 year varsity tennis player and earning all-state honors. Max is a former pickleball pro at Wildwood Racquet Club and Ace Pickleball in Indiana where he worked with all ages and abilities.

Frank Barnes – Pickleball Staff Pro

Coach Barnes just recently retired from a 23-year decorated career as the UW-Whitewater Head Tennis Coach. During his tenure he was awarded conference, regional, and national coach of the year honors and accumulated 812 career team wins. He is still an assistant at UW-Whitewater, but has now switched his teaching focus to pickleball after falling in love with the sport in the winter of 2023. Since then, he has been playing in regional tournaments and is a 4.5 level player. He is also the advisor/coach of the UW-Whitewater Club Pickleball Team. Prior to his work at UW-Whitewater, Coach Barnes was a tennis teaching professional for several years and loves working with people of all abilities. He is certified by the Professional Pickleball Registry.
